Common Issues and Solutions

Possible causes:

  • Insufficient API credits/quota

Solutions:

  1. Verify your API key is valid and active
  2. Test your API key connection
  3. Check your API provider's status page
  4. Ensure you have sufficient credits/quota
  5. Try again after a few minutes

  • OAuth authorization was cancelled
  • Insufficient permissions granted
  • Token expired or revoked
  • Platform-specific requirements not met

Solutions:

  1. Try connecting again and ensure you complete the authorization
  2. Grant all requested permissions
  3. Disconnect and reconnect the platform
  4. For Facebook/Instagram/Threads/LinkedIn/TikTok/Bluesky: These platforms use Outstand for connection management. Ensure you have the necessary permissions and a valid account type (Business/Creator for Instagram/Threads)
  5. For WordPress self-hosted: Verify HTTPS is enabled and Application Passwords are supported (WordPress 5.6+)
  6. For Bluesky: Ensure you have a valid Bluesky account and that Outstand is properly configured

Possible causes:

  • Connection token expired
  • Platform connection is disconnected
  • Content violates platform guidelines
  • Platform API rate limits exceeded

Solutions:

  1. Check connection status in Set Up → Social Media Connections
  2. Reconnect the platform if needed
  3. Review the post content for policy violations
  4. Check the scheduled post status and error messages
  5. Wait and retry if rate limits were exceeded

Possible causes:

  • File format not supported (must be .docx, .pdf, or .epub)
  • File size exceeds 50MB limit
  • File is corrupted or password-protected
  • Network issues during upload

Solutions:

  1. Ensure file is in a supported format (.docx, .pdf, or .epub)
  2. Compress or split large files
  3. Remove password protection if present
  4. Try uploading again with a stable internet connection
  5. Check file isn't corrupted by opening it in Word

Possible causes:

  • Browser cache issues
  • JavaScript errors
  • Network connectivity issues

Solutions:

  1. Clear browser cache and cookies

  5. Check your internet connection
